Zamn, seems like everyone I'm following hasn't been blogging as much lately just like me. I guess we all been busy with our lives...which ain't a damn thing wrong with that.

But as for me for the most part shit couldn't be going any better. Work is still smooth sailing, Outside of work is just the same. this past weekend was probably the best weekend I've had in quite a while.

Friday i went to a lil poetry slam at my church...helped em set up the stage and whatnot and man some of them cats who got up and spoke...said some real shit...two of em stuck out to me....one was titled "an unborns plea" basically speaking on abortion and more so the cons on it...the very last line he said was just burned into my memory tho....went something along the lines of.

"well mama, I'm just about done pleading..just about through....but i just wanna say....i lov..."

and it cuts off right there...which I'm pretty sure you can imagine what happened next (speaking from the unborn fetus P.O.V). but man when he said that i literally got chills down my spine.

But the second one was a dude who was caught up in a drug house shoot out a couple months back down here right behind my cousins house. he got shot in the leg and in the head and wasn't even suppose to make it. so he basically gave his testimony on it on how it changed his life.

Saturday was the UM and FAMU game that i went to with the church again and as long as I've been down here I've never been to one of their home games but of course me and 95% of the other folks only went to see the baddest band in the land....FAM's 100....technically b/c when they take the field its more like 400 of em.

But i gotta say they still got it man, sure them canes whooped they ass but when it comes to band and a half time show? its all about FAMU hands down.

Then lastly Sunday after church i went to this lil "clash of the titans" thing...basically a bootleg battle of the bands but FAMU was gonna be there and since i missed their post game performance the night before i had to go see em again and hell they were the best part of the show b/c half of the REAL dade county schools weren't there so it was pretty much boring until they took the field.And best believe when they come back down here in Jan/Feb against BCU im gonna be there....im tryna find out right now where i can get advanced tickets since they go on sale in 2 weeks

But yeah...shit is going pretty good in my neck of the woods and i can only hope the same goes for y'all who read this. Suppose to be going out with a friend this weekend...just gotta find out which day we suppose to be taking my moms out for her retirement dinner usually i would post a few pics at the end of this but i been snapping so much lately i don't wanna drown this out so ill just post the link to my flickr for anyone who wants to take a gander.
