So the other day my job celebrated its 100Th year anniversary. might not be a big deal to some and hell to be honest it really wasn't for me either but after going on the website and looking at the past history of the company it makes me kinda proud to have been apart of it, even tho I'm only 3 months deep, some of the pics from way back when are kinda interesting as well, you can check em out here if you want
they also did a lil give away before the shift started to some folks who had been there for a while, one dude i know had been there for 25 yrs and another one that loads the delivery trucks been there for 15 years so it got me to thinking, with you getting a raise every year on your hire date PLUS a contract raise every august....and still being on part time....i could be making some serious paper in the next few years if i stick with it even if i don't move up in the company and still doing the same thing
but i mean cmon, even with that...where you gonna find a job that pays like that WITH benefits? one sweet ass gig...
Well, it looks like we got another storm out there that's got it sights set on us once again....gotdamnGustav...
But aside from that...i took a lil trip across town today to the nicer side of Miami, where the rich and famous and high profile folks live...just to think, get my thoughts together, listen to some music, you know...vibe....and i got to thinking, as nice as that area is compared to where I'm at which is pretty decent, and how much of a difference US-1 makes between either side, a question popped up into my head about....if the "Cubans" were to start to move all that classiness over into where I'm at....how would that affect the property value of the folks already over here and those who have been here for years and years.
come to find out, guess it would do alot more bad than good, values would go down ALOT b/c of it which kinda shocked me b/c i thought with the area being brought up, would make the folks who already reside over here, homes....more desirable. WRONG!....from how my mama put it. they appraised the value of your home by the area you stay in and how it is. so even tho you may have a nice ass house in a middle class neighborhood or even a corner lot (cuz we all know corner lots always go for alot more), none of that really wouldn't make a difference if your area isn't that good.
the economy shol is weird ain't it? like its meant to keep folks down in one way or another. even tho its very possible to move on up, they damn sholdon't make it easy, which is very understanble.
but yeah....just my random thought for today... oh yeah...
Well yet another week has come to an end and another pay day is upon us...well for those who got paid today that is. but anyway, its been a good day thus far even tho it started off kinda rough. kinda got into it with mama dukes this morning before i left for work, it was really over some mediocre shit that just got blown outta proportion but we resolved it, apologized and we good now.
Got to work....started off ok until the belt that i work on started getting backed up with packages, so between tryna scan packages, go back and forth and correct addresses on some that were bad and put all the missorts where they belonged i thought the day was never gonna end, but of course it did.
Came home and since i ain't picked up my new camera in about a week or so i decided to and snapped off a few shots, you can check em out in the link in my last entry if you want to, i think they came out pretty good but I'm still yet to fully test it out yet, especially with all the lenses i done invested in.
but other than that errything is errything, lately i been doing some research on the kinda car i want and as most of y'all i talk to already know i been wanting a charger for a long ass time now, but i think i might be changing my mind cuz the maxima been catching my eye lately ALOT, '07 and above just cuz of that smart key and push start feature but i don't know yet, they seem kinda cheap (18k for a used one '06 or '07) but chargers are cheap too which is exactly why errybody got one and i ain't wanna be all cliche and whatnot, but i got about 2 more months before i make a final decision.
but i think ima cut it off here for now and get back into this al green, yeah I'm still on that old school vibe lol, B-E-Z

I know i really ain't been posting on a regular like i used to but between working and sleeping and investing in this camera i just really ain't had time lol
but for this entry, just gonna be like the last one...short and sweet b/c really i don't have much to say, cept if any of y'all watch the news, we finally got our first storm headed our way...wonder how that's gonna work out at work on Monday and Tuesday

That folks can talk so much shit about you when you doing good, and for what? I suppose if you let it get to you then they're doing they're job but if you brush the shit off then they just gonna have to come at you a lil bit harder next time to try and break you. But its like damn, cant you just be happy for a nigga once in your sorry ass excuse for a life? Because if you going thru life hating on the next person just because of what they doing with THEIR life or what they got in THEIR life then you really need to take a good look at that thing you call YOUR life.
But on the flip side having these "haters" can be a plus as well....motivation for yaself and them to hate even harder i guess but it just confuses the hell outta me sometimes, but yet is also funny so as corny as this shit may sound....ill end it with this

I know its been a lil minute since I've posted anything new since my uncles funeral but here i am on a good note actually, short and sweet as well. Last week i went on ahead and completed my list of things I've had my eye on for a while...which were, a game system (xbox 360) and now my very first DSLR and if you don't know what that is, its those fancy professional cameras you see the paparazzi with lol.
But yeah, its a Cannon 300D, 6.3 and i know it ain't much of an upgrade in MPs from my point and shoot but I'm sure the quality will be. but i already know a few places i wanna test it out at so be on the look out for future entries pertaining to it and also this here
